I am 50 years old and unfortunately, I have been starting to have problems with my mind. When I say mind, I think of the anxieties that get me each time I think of the future events, and it is slowly making me constantly nervous. What helps in this situation? I would like any kind of suggestion? Please help.

I think it is a good thing that you are fully aware of your problem and willing to solve it. I think that the best and easiest way for you to deal with this would be to talk to a doctor. To see what is the exact nature of your problems and determine the best course of action.

What works best for this is cbt. I tried just about everything and was on meds for a long time and now have been off them for a long time and doing better than ever thanks to cbt. If you can't afford to join a cbt group pick up a copy of Been there, done that? Do this! By sam obitz (tao3.com) and start doing the tea form exercise in it. This is one of the two books we used in my group. The more you work on the exercises the more relief you get and it will teach you how to live in the here and now instead of being miserable in the here and now because you are so worried about the future.
