3 days ago I began about every minute a 'headache' pulse in lhs on pulse areaon head. .( IE 2 inches in front of top of ear.) sometimes it is an hour apart sometimes 5 minutes. sometimes absent. never had a pulsing headache before in fact headaches extremely rare
A pulsating headache on one side of the head can have various potential causes. Some possible reasons for pulsating headaches on one side of the head include:
-
Migraine: Migraines can cause throbbing or pulsating pain on one side of the head, often accompanied by other symptoms like nausea, light sensitivity, and sound sensitivity.
-
Tension Headache: Tension headaches can cause a constant, pressing or squeezing sensation on the head, but they can also manifest as pulsating headaches.
-
Cluster Headache: Cluster headaches are intense headaches that occur in clusters, often on one side of the head. They tend to be very painful and can come and go.
-
Vascular Issues: Pulsatile tinnitus, a condition where you hear your heartbeat in your head, can sometimes be related to vascular issues. It's essential to rule out any underlying vascular concerns.
-
Sinus Issues: Sinus congestion or sinusitis can cause discomfort and pulsating sensations in the head.
I had similar problems in the past, and they were related to my sinuses. Maybe you can ask your doctor to start from that.
