Yesterday my sister and I watched some TV program and then we heard that many immunosuppressive drugs are now in wide use. We are not sure that we know what exactly immunosuppressive therapy is. Does anybody can explain to me about what disease they talked? When is immunosuppressive therapy used? Thank you!
Therapy used to decrease the body's immune response, such as drugs given to prevent transplant rejection. I know that this type of therapy is necessary for people who had any kind of transplantation. Immunosuppressants are given to transplant patients to prevent organ rejection. Also they can treat some other disease. But these drugs frequently cause unwanted effects.
