I too have the same problem...mine started a month ago but I do have swelling and itching.  It has no odor and it looks like clumps of wet paper so i thought I would douche and when the water came out I was discusted with all that stuff that came out.  I have been treated for yeast infection and it came back again and I had a full hysterectomy done late february.  If anyone has any info as to what it might be please post.  Thanks

I have it too. On and off for years. I tried TEA TREE OIL. It burned like crazy, but it's seems to only have gotten worse. Another post a women recommended pouring peroxide onto a tampon insert for 10-15minutes everyday. She said it burned too. I've read there are 3 types of yeast (bacterial, virus, and fungal) and some can grow up the intestines and into the stomach. PLEASE IF YOU LEARN WHAT THIS IS AND/OR HOW TO CURE IT LET "ME" KNOW.

Hi people!  This used to be a big problem for me but now it only happens every once in a while.  The problem is that we are sensitive in our lady parts and have to take better care of them than most ladies.

First if you go swimming DO NOT sit around in a wet swim suit.  Same thing goes if you spill something on your lady part, you want to keep her dry.

Second only wash your undies, towels, and anything else that will be touching your downstairs in free & clear laundry detergent.  The soap is no good for her.

Third DO NOT wash her with soap.  No shower gel, no scented lotions.  All of that fragancy stuff is no good.   You can use sensitive skin / free & clear soap on the other parts of your body but you don't want to put it directly on there.

Fourth DO use AZO yeast pills when you notice a problem or know you are going to be stuck in a wet bottom.  They work great to help clear it up.

I can't believe you people ask for medical advice on things like this over the internet! Go see a Dr for crying out loud. Sure glad I'm not your BF, poor bastard..That's gross..I mean things happe to our bodies, but be a woman & take care of that with proper hygiene & medication..You really need to hear from people on the internet, go see a Dr. Its a groddy yeast infection, & even if its not..if my junk started leaking stuff, I'd be driving to the ER not inquiring online! Sheesh

I get this on and off.   Mine only started happening last year. It's not enometriosis; I've had a hysterectomy for that years ago, so it's not estrogen either since I don't take or produce any.  I don't think it's yeast although it could be -- I'm taking Augmentin right now.  It MIGHT be related to stress  I've been stressed.

It could be related to lubricants.  However, I'm strongly suspicious that the problem is related to soap that doesn't get thoroughly rinsed off.  I think it may happen more often with certain types of soap and especially when people take showers and not baths.  We may be forgetting to rinse or not rinsing thoroughly.  I notice that when I don't rinse thoroughly I see white streaks or flecks on my black underwear.  I just bought some new, cheap bath soap that may have brought on this latest episode. Perhaps it's the soap itself or the soap upsets the Ph.

Anyway, I'm going to try baking soda in a bath.

Just curious -- how many of you take showers, not baths, and wash with cheap soft bar soap?

Birth control pills change your discharge to a clumpier state, making it difficult for semen to swim through it. Annoying, but nothing to be alarmed about.

You posted this over a year ago but did you ever find out what it was? I have the exact same symptoms. Lots of discharge, discomfort and I recently had an allergic reaction to my ring that I have worn for a year!

My symptoms: Pasty white discharge, dry, clumps like toilet paper, rolls into balls between fingers, very bitter taste but no smell, intense burning, itching, irritation to vaginal walls and vulva, bleeding with intercourse, etc. At first my only symptom was the discharge, but being prone to yeast infections I immediatly treated and made things much worse. MY DIAGNOSAS AND TREATMENT PLAN: My Doctor had never heard of Cytolytic Vaginosis or Lactobacillosis. He is an OB/GYN, and a good one. After I had tested negative for everything under the sun twice, I took him the information. He read it, diagnosed it, and is hopefully, successfully treating it. Augmintin 875 twice a day for 10 days followed by twice weekly baking soda sitz baths for two weeks, then as needed. CV will clear up when the vaginal pH returns to normal, Lactobacillosis will not. You need Augmintin to clear it. So far I am on day 2 1/2 of the augmintin and things are so much better, but not 100% yet. I do have to remember that I agressively treated this as a yeast infection for two months and that only made the situation 10 times worse. My lady parts need time to heal. As does my mind and soul from all this insane, intense worry. Fingers crossed that this treatment plan works. The is the closest I have felt to normal in two months. Ladies, ask your doctors to test for cytolytic vaginosis and lactobacillosis. If they don't know about it, educate them or find a doctor that does. Don't give up!

Most women experience vaginal discharge that changes in color, texture and odor from time to time, however I recommend discussing your symptoms with your doctor. Such change in your normal discharge may be the first sign of a vaginal problem. It is often a symptom of an inflammation of the vaginal area called vaginitis due to infection in or around the vagina. The most common causes of vaginitis are bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection. Those affected with bacterial vaginosis may experience a vaginal discharge that is thin and yellowish, grey, or white. It may have a strong, unpleasant odor, often described as fishy. This fishy odor may be strongest after sexual intercourse or after washing with soap. Many women with bacterial vaginosis have no signs or symptoms. There are some other vaginal infections that may also cause abnormal discharge. One that comes to mind known to cause a thick, white, chunky discharge (like a cottage cheese) is yeast infection. Other symptoms of a yeast infection are intense itching, swelling and pain around and outside of the vagina, or both. I strongly advise you to avoid douching in an attempt to get rid of the smelly vaginal discharge. Douching can actually upset the natural balance of organisms in your vagina and can lead to infection and make it worse. I recommend visiting a doctor who can help you figure out whether you are dealing with a bacterial or fungal infection or both. You will need a pelvic exam that checks for swelling and discharge. Your doctor may perform a swap test to get a fluid sample for a quick look under a microscope. He or she may also order tests to rule out other more serious conditions like chlamydia or gonorrhea infection.

You're an ass monkey. Most of us have been to several doctors and have been told we are "normal, negative". I even got "psychological issue, make an appointment with a mental health care professional". So stick that junk of yours backwards and upwards. :) We are looking for answers the best we know how BECAUSE we have gotten no help from doctors.

I used Metrogel around 5 days ago and am having the same thing with no itching, swelling or odor. I've had the yeastie beasties before and that causes major irritation and swelling! I have bounced between both BV and yeast when taking meds in pill form bc apparantly treating one can sometimes throw your body outta whack again and flare up the other :( I've also read that Metrogel can cause yeast... but also that it can cause this funky discharge which I'm assuming is the medicine that has coagulation and just hang out up in there? Whatever it is, I'd like it to go away.

I just came from the hospital because of this same thing!!! White clumpy paper-like discharge like I have never seen before!!! I thought it was a yeast infection and treated it like it was. I took over the counter meds. Replenish and medicine for yeast infections. I was still concerned and went to the hospital. They took cultures and pee sample. They tested right there in the hospital and told me it is not a yeast infection. I have to wait a week for the results on the cultures they sent out. They told me make sure you go to your Obgyn and get checked.
