I have been using Effexor for 3 years. It actually saved my life, and have no side affects. I suffered panic and anxiety 24-7 for at least 5 months prior to taking Effexor, and suffered now and then prior to that. I have no complaints. But I do have a concern about the long term effects of this medication. Is it a cancer causing medication? Or is there anything else that is medically known about Effexor? I would greatly appreciate any input on this matter.
Thank you,
Angelina
Any synthetic drug you put into your body will be toxic. Your body has evolved on whole foods and real medicines, not an M.D. prescribed drug. These people have been doing this for a little over a hundred years. All they learn in medical school is how to sign this prescription for that ailment and surgery. They are a profitable business, the largest in the world. Do you think 2,000 year old oriental medicine recommends effexor for your depresssion? As soon as you get complications from this drug, they'll put you on another. For stress our body has developed the endocannabinoid system. Cannabinoids are found everywhere in your body and are activated in high physical or mental stress situations. Cannabis (Marijuana) is uniquely the only other source for these cannabanoids. When used it is a stress management system that treats the body as a whole. The doctor won't tell you this because the FDA knows how many cures lie in this ancient medicinal plant, along with many other natural cures and would put them out of business. You can't patent an herb. Try going to a different type of doctor that doesn't get commission for selling a monthly quota of prescription drugs like an Oriental Dr., or Naturopath (N.D.) I have personally trialed and errored with prescription drugs and learned my lesson the hard way with permanent side effects. Your more likely to get a settlement from Effexor than medical benefits. YOu might want to try exercise, yoga, sunlight, oxygen, an organic diet, and dont eat from the microwave. Good luck, there are doctors out there that want to help people. >:(

I think the above advice is dangerous and potentially misleading.
