Hi,

I've always had some problems with my period. When I was young I started having this white discharge, which was a bit thick and mucus like. Then on my first period I had enormous pain in my lower back. And a few years ago I started being light-headed around the time of my period. Sometimes I almost faint. I might have low blood pressure and that might have something to do with the fainting. On my first two days the cramps are really bad. Once, it was so bad that I stayed at home from school because I was vomiting from the pain. My mother gave me some pain relievers such as Ibalgin and I guess that helps. A few days ago I woke up extremely tired, with chills and feeling as if I had sore muscles yet I haven't been doing any sports. I also had a low-grade fever. I went to the doctor because I didn't feel like going to school at all. The nurse said asked me if I was on my period I said no. But I knew that it should come soon. I thought that what I felt wasn't at all related with my period, but after I rested, the sickness went away. Then in the evening I got my period, but the blood was dark brown. My mom gave me some Ibalgin again to soothe the pain, it helped. Sometimes I still feel the cramps and it's really annoying... I don't really know what I should do, I mean I know that some girls have smooth periods with no problems, so why me? My mom doesn't even have these problems... So might I have some chronic sickness relating to my period? Or what should I do to ease my pain and problems?
