hello. I have a problem. I am sleepy… has anyone else wanted to sleep for long, long periods while weening off Zoloft?
For example, I went to bed at 22 and I slept till 9,was awake for 3 hours and went to bed and sleept till next morning… I mean I love to sleep, but this is just not normal… it is not that I wasn’t sleeping days before, I was, and I wasn’t tired or anything, I was etting a regular 8 hour sleep … any advices?

Wooow! I am not the only one. This is strange to me also! This is happening to me for the past year. I have been asking my doctors about that and they cannot seem to provide a clear answer. I am sleeping all the time. It is like 11 to 13 hours a day!!!! And I could do more! This is scaring me… I feel like I am chronically tired. I am falling asleep on my job and my colleges are giving me a strange eye… like, hey what is he doing at night? …yes, I get this types of question: heavy night, a, maid? Fu.., heavy night! I was F sleeping the whole night through and didn’t get enough sleep. I am going mad. This situation is really driving me crazy and no doctors seem to help. Then, who can help me?

I am having all the aforementioned withdrawal symptoms and have found that taking extra iron helps with the sleepiness. However, I am presently having other things checked out to be certain the lack of iron is not due to something else, but you might try it. Be careful, though -- you can OD on iron, so follow the directions and check with your doctor.

I have been taking Zoloft for the past 2 years and in the beginning, I also was very tired. I switched my dose from day to right before bedtime, and have felt much more rested during the day.

Hope this helps... :-D
