I have a 13 year old daughter with swollen lympph nodes under her right arm

Lymph nodes have an important part in our body's defense against infection. Whenever there is an infection or an inflammatory condition in the body, they may react and swell. They could also swell for certain medications or vaccinations.

If there was soreness, it should disappear in a few days but the swelling may last up to a several weeks after clearing of the infection.
IN case the nodes don’t get smaller or get larger, if they are red and tender, hard or bigger that 1 cm in diameter, you should pay a visit to a doctor. Also, if your daughter develops other symptoms like fever, or night sweats.
