I'm a 14 year old boy I'm like 5'4 and I have a bit of an upper body but I wonder is the reason I'm 5'4 because I've been lifting 12 pund weights, doing push ups, curls, etc.

No you are 15 and have plenty years to grow. If smoke it can stunt you growth though. Not sure but I heard coffee can as well.

I doubt these exercises would stunt your growth.

I have doubts about claims related to caffeine and nicotine as well, perhaps people could clarify those.

I'm kinda curious where you got 12lb weights too. I have a 12lb body bar which I unscrewed to the 2 halves for 6lb ones.

I mistyped the 5 instead of the 4 lol. You are 14 lifting 12lbs weights will not affect your growth.

Hello there,

First of all it is very commendable that you are working on your body and you are only 14 years old. When I was in your age I wasn’t interested in any kind of physical activity so it is great to hear that someone actually starts to think about that on time.

Continue with your exercising because that will not stunt your growth and you still have plenty of time to develop. If you are concerned about your height look at your parents and you will have your answers because genetics plays really big role in this matter.

Also don’t neglect to eat properly and healthy food. It is essential that you have enough energy for everything you are doing.
