I make a small incision and squeeze the pus out. It's potentially dangerous, and so care must be taken. I hold the cist firmly between my thumb and forefinger, and line up the scalpel with my other hand. I then pierce it, making sure to puncture the skin barrier and put the point into the midst of the cist. If you're too reticent, you'll give yourself a little nick and the blood will make the job harder. Once pierced (you'll know because the resistance on the blade will have eased) remove the scalpel the way it came. Don't move it about or make a line cut: the point is just to put a hole into the cist.
If done with a proper scalpel and a small point incision, it won't hurt at all. I tried using a needle before, but they're too thin. If you do this always dispose of the blade safely afterwards. It should leave a noticeable scar and it saves going to the doctors.
RE the blood pimples: it could something else entirely, but sometimes a blood vessel can break around the cist, under the skin, if squeezed to vigorously. If so, this isn't anything to worry about especially.

After reading the posts on here I was reassured that you can perform a minor surgery on yourself. I had tried about 4 times to pop these with a needle. This time I used a sharp 1 inch jaguar blade. It is easiest to place the bump between your thumb or thumbnail and pointer finger which makes the incision process much easier. Try and put the point of the blade in the middle of the hard spot. You will know when you have gone far enough as the white part of the cyst with come out at the tip of the blade. After you see have pierced the cyst squeeze the rest of it out. (You will bleed some and it may seem like a lot but it is nothing to worry about). After finishing with the cyst draining (Ill say draining, sounds better than surgery) wash the area and apply pressure with a paper towel if you are still bleeding. I don't suggest using toilet paper since pieces of it will stick to your ball sack.
There is no reason to feel ashamed about these bumps for many of us have them. I believe mine were caused by shaving. I am sure this will be helpful and good luck to all. And I leave with this. You have balls so act like it when it comes to these bumps!

I myself am 21 years old and I too have what appears to be a zit or small pimple on my scrotum. I have squeased it numerous times and it continuously secreats a white pusy material but does not pop like a zit or a pimple would. Even after all the puss is squeased out, there will remain a small hard bump. It has never gotten any bigger and I find that it will just fill back up with this puss like material after a few weeks. It has never caused me any sort of pain so I never thought it necesary to see a doctor.
