I'm, well it's 4 days actually, post surgery.
I was up and wandering the halls of the hospital a few hours post surgery, no stitches or staples or collars. I ate a regular food dinner that night interspersed with a healthy dose of popsicles of course!! :-) Pain wasn't a factor much. Had a few Percoset here and there, but mostly Ibuprofen. Went home the next morning, slept on the couch just to not disturb the Mrs.
Showered, and dressed myself, throat bothered me just a tad. Doc ok'd me to spend time on the PC, and gave me the ok to drive in 1 week.
So far much better than expected... knock on wood....
Symptom results are kind of bass-ackwards. Still have the numbness from chest level down, hopefully that just takes time. But lower back (initial complaint) feels 50% better, which I wasn't expecting....

So keep your heads up, sometimes it's not as bad as it could be!

Mike

Sorry for the gross photo! ;-)

WARNING!

Back again... been a little over 3 months.
Returning to work this week.
Numbness is slowly seeming to fade. But the lower back pain is still bad, so I'll probably be back next year when the surgeon wants to work on that!

:-D
