I am 39 years old and been having problems with my monthly cycle for about a year. I have heavy bleeding some months, and other months things seem fine.
About 7 months ago my uterus prolapsed. I recently started feeling small cysts in vaginal canal. My doctor sent me for an ultrasound which showed that I have a large ovarian cyst as well as several cysts in lower part of uterus. I can feel the cysts on the inside of the vaginal wall as well as around rectum. I have been having lower back pain as well as achy legs during my cycle which seem to be getting worse. My cycle will seem to end and as soon as I have a bowel movement I will start to bleed again. It is as if something is blocking the flow of blood.
During my cycle this month I have noticed alot of cramping, I feel like I am in labor. When I go to the bathroom I notice thin blood clots which will not fully expel. It's like if something is in the way. I am also experiencing some nausea.
Today I had a bowel movement and now I am feeling some tenderness around the anus.
I am going to see a gyn doctor on the 19 of January. I am terrified this may be something serious like cancer!!
I asked my nurse practioner if she thought this could be something serious and she said they are just cysts!
Help!! I need some answers. :'(
