After 15 years of marriage where we had little to no sex in the past 5 years I am newly single. I have been meeting women and discovered that the first round of sex always goes normally. The second time around I can get hard again within a few minutes but i almost always go soft after 5 or so minutes of intercourse. If they get me hard again it is simply a repeat of 5 minutes then soft.

I was taking Paxil briefly for depression right after the divorce and struggled with libido and erections period when on it. Once I stopped taking it I was fine but due to the issues with Paxil I still worry during sex that I will lose my erection. I have a friend who thinks my issue during the second round is due to my fears of losing the erection and the second something doesn't feel right I worry and that causes the erection to go away.

Head case? And if so how the hell do you get past it?
Well it sounsd to me like you're pretty normal for 40 and may be struggling with a bit of ED since you can't stay hard after an initial round of sex. What do you think? I don't think you're a head case...
