Hi, my 9 year old son started using Ortho K lenses last week and did great for the first 5 days.  On the 6th day he had a very hard time getting them in because he said they wouldn't stay in the right place.  It is very painful for him when they shift to the wrong spot.  He did all of the tricks he was taught for moving them (gentle pressure on the lid while looking towards the lens) and he'd get it in place only for it to shift again a few minutes later.  Anyone else experienced this or have any advice?!  The results of the lenses are incredible and I'd hate to see him give up on them because of this but I know that if we have another night like that he won't want to use them anymore. :(  Thanks in advance for your help!

There could be a problem with the fitting of the lens. I havebeen using ortho-k lens for half a year now, and initially I always had the problem of my lens shifting at night and waking up with an indentation on my cornea and extreme discomfort (not to mention extremely blurry vision). Finally decided to ask my optometrist to do another fitting, and he changed the lens and I hardly face any problems with it nowadays.
