My sister and I have vasovagel syncope and it is like the descriptions ppl are giving. We had a Cardiologist who performed a TILT TABLE TEST on each of us in order to be diagnosed. I can usually control it by getting enough sleep/rest, eating regularly & drinking enough fluids but I also had to add salt to my diet in order to raise my blood pressure (see a healthcare pro for diagnosis before adding/changing anything). Hope this helps!

I have similar problems except for nausea. Check if it's the vagus Orr fatal nerves.

I've had these episodes once every couple of months about 4x a year but only right when I start my menstrual cycle. Same thing it lasts about 45min-1hr and I feel very tired the rest of the day. Started when I was 14. When it happens I have immense abdominal/lower back pain, my head hurts like I'm going to pass out but I don't, I feel like I can't breathe but I can, I vomited once when I tried to take an aspirin, my stomache feels like it has uncontrollable cramps rolling/rumbling through it, I can barely walk or talk, I feel like if I use the energy to talk I'll pass out, I get hot and cold sweats and I have to stay next to the tub because its cold. Does anyone know why this is connected to the menstrual cycle for many women, but not every cycle?

I thought I was going to die last night. The pain was so intense and I lay on the floor for a couple of hours. The cold sweats, I couldn't stand up had the feeling of needing to use the bathroom (couldn't) felt like maybe I was going to throw up (didn't). Then when I was able to get in bed I had very cold chills. I have had these attacks for over 20 years but very, very seldom. My doctor has no idea what is wrong. What really helps me is charcoal pills. I could not get to the bottle because I was too dizzy and my husband is 78 yrs old and ill. He couldn't even hear me crying for help. Someone at a health food store told me they would help. Yes, it takes about 20 minutes but the DO HELP!! I take 2 and stay still and in about 20 to 30 minutes I feel much better.

I've experienced the same thing and was diagnosed with cardio neurogenic syncope. The attached article is a great read. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1768202/
