:( Help!!!!!!!!! I am 22 years old and have never had regular periods. When i was younger it would come on and stay for about a month at a time. For the past year or so ( every since i got off of birth control) I would only get a period about every 3 months and when it came on it would be on for 5 days then go off for 3 months. Well this month it has been on for 15 days. I have been to the doctor numerous times before and they always say that everything is fine i just have abnormal periods ( thats why they put me on birth control) I am very frustrated and want to know why or what can i do to stop the bleeding. Last time the doctor gave me iron pills and as soon as i started to take them it went off. I also wanted to know that is it a possibility that if i have a child will this stabilize my periods?
There is not really anything you can do to stop the bleeding unless you are on a certain type of birth control, yet some birth control can be harmful. You can still get pregnant and I don' think that when you have a child it will stablize your period, but you never know. There are other things(That I just learned of) that can help stablize your period, but they also help to increade your chances of getting pregnant.one is called vitex, you can't get it over the counter but you can ask your doctor about it.

I think the combo birth control pills are best for stabilizing your period. I've heard having a kid really messes up your period for a while.
I used to have majorly irregular periods and they were stablized within 3 months of being on Aleese.
