I was using acctane for about 3 months. It helped me in problem with acne that I had. I’ve heard that acctane can have very harmful side effects. I wasn’t familiar with then when used. Are they likely to occur after 3 months of usage? I stopped with the treatment 2 weeks ago. What should I expect?
Acctane contain isotretinoin that is teratogen when used during pregnancy. I found some notes that after discontinuing the therapy some side effects may occur, like hair loss and arthralgia. Persons that used isotretinoin shouldn’t give blood for at least a month after discontinued using it. I know this sounds bad and I guess that 3 months of usage is not such a long enough periods for development of side effects. Now you’re warned.
