WOW! That is dangerous! I suffered from chronic fatigue due to a serious illness and the ONLY relief I got was wellbutrin, after trying: nothing, vegan, aderal, and a host of other drugs and diets.
In have a friend that can not function without wellbutrin, (it was he told me that wellbutriin acruelly gave him energy).
While I agree that taking nothing would be best, you have NO RIGHT OR EXPERIENCE to say people need to get off of all these drugs.
Unless you've been sick with ano illness that is difficult to "see" on someone, you can never understand.

I would like to comment on the rn's message about,
Ever Heard of "off label use" MEDICAL DOCTORS, those people who went to school a lot longer than you, have the privilege, knowledge and ability to make those decisions and you need to humble yourself!!! compared to them you know very little!!! you are ONLY a NURSE---this is coming from a NURSE!!!

Thank you! If not for some very experienced, brilliant doctors I was fortunate enough to been treated by I would still be hold up in my bedroom watching life pass me by. Be careful giving random advice on here. Your situation may had absolutely nothing to do with the Medicine you were prescribed and more other health issues. We each react different to medications. It's great and can be very helpful to read others experiences but only medication trained professionals need to decide what isn't working for you.

You should heed your own advice.

I found this response extremely narrow minded and shockingly ignorant for a medical professional

No it is not. If you research it , the generic has fillers that are different than the name brand which apparently cause side effects in many people including myself. As soon I changed from generic to Wellbutrin it was like night and day. We all have different chemistry and what works for one may not work for another. Any informed Dr. will tell you this.

Started out on Lexapro & Trazodone, then Lexapro & Adderall, now I'm on Adderall & Wellbutrin. I LOVE THIS COMBO. Every aspect of my personal life has improved by waking up on time, feeling genuinely sociable (instead of faking it), I have no desire to drink anymore, and I have also slowed down on smoking cigarettes. BUT my panic attacks have increased and have become way more intense. My sister thought she might have to take my to the hospital it was so bad. I also take small amounts of Xanax as needed; it is not prescribed to me, but my doctor knows I take it. Just wants to exhaust all other options before prescribing two of the most addictive drugs (plus i have a history of substance abuse). I really don't want a script for Xanax, but I need something for these insane panic attacks. Klonopin has never really helped me before, but I was not on Wellbutrin when I did try it (again, no script). And something worth noting, I'm being monitored for Bipolar disorder.

Thank you. I too was a child with ADD, BEFORE THEY KNEW WHAT IT WAS. I carried labels of lazy, stupid, one with no ambition etc. well into my adulthood until I was diagnosed with ADD.

FYI - it's "PREscribed", not "PERscribed." Guess that wasn't on the final exams before becoming a Registered Nurse.
