Hi !!!

I just had a total hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and I feel great. I am 44 years old and I'm post-menopausal, I started going through menopause 6 years ago . 2 years ago I had a D&C plus an ablastion. This past year I started to experience some problems, which I ended up with another D&C. My doctor was not happy with the results and felt that my next step was a hysterectomy. I'll tell you that was a very nerve recking day when I heard those words and what got me very scared was when I told him that I wanted to wait for 6 months and he recommand that I have it done now. You know I'm glad I listened to my doctor. The surgery went well, and my recovery has been good. I experienced very little pain. My dotor didn't use sttiches or staples, he used glue. It looks like he gave me a tummy tuck. I feel everybody deals with this differently. My best advice is to get rest and keep your mind busy. Take this time to caught up on your reading and most important have a good support system with family and friends. This is what has helped me so far. I do have my weepy moments but I work through them.
