I can totally empathize with you. I hate it when it is warm outside and I live in the Seattle area so it isn't really too warm for the most part. I love the ocean and going on vacation but sweat constantly everywhere so it runs my life. I thought it was menopausal but it never stops.

Nice to know I am not alone folks, really thought my impression of an indoor water feature was unique. I think my thermostat got broken when I had a hysterectomy 18 years ago, followed by menopause shortly after. So I can say that my sweating has nothing to do with periods, menopause, ill health, hormones or fitness.

I am posting this to let you all know that there is a remedy, it's cheap and it's natural!

Sage Tea..has worked wonders for me and quite a few of my friends. By drinking 3-4 cups each day, my excessive sweating has practically stopped, even at night! I can still feel the internal heat of my busted thermostat, but it no longer embarasses me by pushing out bucket loads of sweat.

And my latest purchase (called migra cap-not cheap but worth every penny) has really come in handy as that bit of extra help for my head when we have temps over 40 here in Australia.

I have this issue as well. Constantly feeling too hot and excessively sweating. Being a woman it's very embarrassing to have a face that sweats all the time.  I have no medical reason that causes it and have had so many tests done. I DON'T HAVE A FIX BUT I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING THAT HAS HELPED ME... My Dr. prescribed me Drysol 20% solution. You apply it on the skin (I use it on my face).  Initially you use it approx. 3 times a week. After using it for a while you'll be able to cut back to once a week, then to once a month or so. It doesn't help the feeling of being too hot, but it does help the excessive sweating. Hope this helps someone. Its all i've found to work.

you may be on to something. when a person smokes pot it causes the body to calm down which is slowing the persons adrenalin, so just maybe that's whats going on with those that sweat so much. I break out in a bad sweat for no reason at all. it looks like i just came out of a sauna and it doesn't matter if i am doing something or not or if it is winter or summer or in a air conditioned room or not. I sweat all over. i am 46 yr old female. not overweight. i workout 3 to 4 days a week. i do have Hypothyroidism and i take a medication for that. i have also had a Hysterectomy and don't take a hormone replacement but other then that. i am healthy. I have researched this problem and never come up with an answer. my Dr. has done all kinds of test with nothing ever found that could be causing it. I really wish I knew what was going on. the adrenalin could be over working. i am going to mention this to my Dr. and see what she thinks...... Good luck everyone

Hello ,

I'm a 26 year old , slim male .

I've had this problem since forever , it started when I was about 10 years old . I just feel like I have a wave of heat inside me . If I put my hands 2 inches from a any glass surface , steam will cover up the whole thing in 2 mintues . I sweat like crazy sometimes , not all the time but still even in winter it's no fun . But it's not just about sweating , it's just unbearable how hot I am , I do feel the same as you do like I'm in the desert when it's acutally cold outside ... I smoke weed sometimes and it really does help , I don't really smoke any more and I just miss it so much but just can't find it anymore , but it really made my body temperature cool down A LOT . Even sometimes I'd have these freezing cold moments where I would just shake like crazy . I just don't know what to do anymore . I've been told I'm a handsome guy but this problem is just a poison to my confidence and I don't even want to go out and meet people anymore ... I just feel like a freak ... Any ideas on how to make this go away ? btw - I really feel like this comes from social anxiety ALTHOUGH it also happens when I'm at home alone ...

I have the same problem. I am 6'4" and not actually overweight at 220. I intend to try Oxytrol, which is an over the counter anti cholinergic sold for women with over active bladders. MANY people have reported great success with this as a hyperhidrosis treatment.

Michael and Dean,

I am so sorry to hear of your struggles, but that's because I, too, live them. I logged on here hoping to find answers to the nearly identical description Michael Hempenstall gave of himself. My wife and I live in the Chicago area. Today it is 26 degrees (below freezing!) and, to put things in perspective, I took my dog outside the house (to "go"), she TRIED to take me for a walk (which makes me feel badly), and after she got a ½ a block down our sidewalk and "went", I insisted on turning around and going inside. After this mere 8 minute across the street, 60 steps and return, trip we arrived inside. Keep in mind, again, it is below freezing here! I came inside and just started pouring sweat all over my face, forehead, nose, down the neck, everywhere. I shower more than once EVERY day. I am considered a "clean freak" for sure. But only folks like you understand just why. I don't want to be that person who smells like they just left the gym. But I might as well be going to the gym. I am a 46 year old male. I had (HAD) an amazing career for many years, making great money and being a very promising individual. I live with chronic headaches/neckaches. And subsequently, those daily pains have travelled down my back to the point where I have also had major reconstructive spine surgery. I was a college soccer player, so I always thought I'd be active and healthy. Not close!! And these issues of HOT body temperatures and chronic pain have ruined my life's value. I haven't worked now in a FEW years! I'm married and I promise, NOTHING about not working or providing has a bright side. Has anyone found REAL ANSWERS to these issues? I get Acupuncture for pain, Adrenals, everything. Benefits for temperature? NONE! Who can help?

My friend, I wouldn't be so hard on yourself or assume that you even have such severe social anxiety that this is the cause of your overheated body temperature. I, too, have this to a terrible, life-altering, socially and maritally-altering level. NO ONE understands. But, then, I have never had real social anxiety to any level that impacted me negatively. Not professionally, not with girls or now women, nor with most others. I don't know what the cause is, but I just wanted to suggest that you be MUCH less hard on yourself and that you not assume anything is "not okay" about you. Let's all join together and find out what is the cause for us all.

I have had the same problem all my life. Mentioned it when I went to a dermatologist. She gave me Robinul Forte 2mg. It works as long as you take it on an empty stomach and wait at least 30 minutes before you eat.
