Have had the same problem since adolesence. I have started taking LYRINEL XL 5mg (oxybutynin hydrochloride) once a day. Think the medication was originally designed to prevent you needing the toilet so much as you get older so you are not up multiple times though the night. However it regulates sweat production by desensitizing you somehow and although i still get hot and i feel as though i should be pooring with sweat and a hot flush type feeling occurs, my sweat glands dont seem to activate. It has really made life managable highly recommend anyone who suffers to give it a try. It works almost from day one

Ive never been happier or maybe not to find so many people with my problem. I'm 43 and at the moment overweight, but have been perfect weight many times and it's always the same. I work in media and have no problem talking to people, but then the moment I walk from cold outdoors to hot indoors the sweat pours down my face! it's heart breaking. After a while it calms down as if nothing happened but it gets so stressful it's a vicious cycle. I have long hair, which is up most of the time, and I'm actually considering cutting it off. I had a medication years ago but it was for epileptic people and the non-sweating was a happy side effect but my new gp wouldn't prescribe it. I'm now armed with Robinul Forte and Lyrinel to ask about. fingers crossed!

Jen,

After reading this I would have thought I wrote it, my issue us identical to yours, ughhhh, did you find anything to help you? My Dr. says "some people are just warmer than others and you have to live with it" when your dr says that it is so discouraging.

You all need to try Ditropan (aka Oxybutynin) tablets (Google it). I was always sweating from face, even just walking down the road in winter. These pills have dried the sweat up by about 80%. Small side effects like dry mouth, and slow to pee are present, but easily coped with, especially considering my life has been radically improved for the better.

Marijuana DEFINITELY helps and will keep me dry for about an hour. I wake up soaked, spend the day dripping with sweat constantly, and have to take precautions before handling any electronics or paperwork. I've literally damaged gear due to excessive sweating. I'm always uncomfortable, and due to my living situation I am at the mercy of others regarding the A/C thermostat, which is always set to a torturous 78 degrees. I live in the sub-tropics and would kill for one night of cool sleep.

It's been a year and no one has told you Greenland is the cold one so I thought I'd let u know

Haha !! Greenland is the frozen one, but Iceland rarely gets hotter than 70(F), which, as an overheated person like all of you here, sounds just right to me!!
My way of coping with this insanely embarrassing feature we are stuck with: I carry deodorant EVERYWHERE, and only wear black or a material that does not show wetness to work/social events. I'm about to try a bunch of suggestions from all of you though, maybe I can wear colors again!
Good luck to all of you

Can't say about the fever but I'm 5'6" and 180lbs now but even at 145lbs I can walk around outside in -10°C in shots and a t-shirt I don't sweat per say but radiate a ton of heat. Work is hell, I'm on my feet and busy all day and wear a uniform so I can't peel off any layers. I would love to figure out how to fix myself. I've been like this since I was a kid.
