If you were allergic to eggs, you would have reactions to anything made with eggs and there’s a wide range of things made with eggs. The body reacts to the protein in the white most of the time although some people are allergic to the yolk as well.

Egg allergic reactions, like any other allergic reactions, may include skin, respiratory and gastro symptoms. You could develop a skin rash, wheezing, problems breathing, watery eyes, runny nose, swelling around the mouth, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

In order to realize whether you have an egg allergy, you need to see your GP who would most likely refer you to an allergist where you will undergo some tests, probably skin testing by placing small amounts of the egg protein on your skin to see if some reactions would occur.

If you don’t have reactions to other foods made with eggs, you may not be allergic to eggs. I myself have problems with eggs, and often feel bloated and sick after eating fried eggs. I think that eggs are just a bit too hard on the stomach but have it checked anyway.
