hi

i have a lot of symptoms and can't afford to go to a doctor right now. i was wondering if any of my seemingly odd symptoms could be interrelated?

i used to bleed anally after eating certain acidic foods, for 2 years, and suspected that i had an ulcer. that ended over 5 years ago.

recently (as in for about a year) i have been bleeding anally for 1-3 days after every single period, which seems to suggest that either a) my body is reacting to certain foods in a non-normal fashion after my period because of hormonal changes (is that possible?) or b) somewhere my wires are crossed and some of the slough from my uterus is coming out the wrong place (could have happened because of an unattended ulcer that got worse)? maybe this is just because my body is going through some final maturation? relevant info: i turned 24 in july, and had my first period when i had just turned 12. i did not "break out" until the age of 18 and finally got through the break-out phase at age 23. i do still break out occassionally pre-period, but it seemd to me that my hormoes have found a steady level.

i have also, over the last year or so, experienced overall body puffiness. i have gained weight, but i am also just... well, puffy. this may be due simply to a new era of water-weight-reaction in my life, but i thought it might be related.

also, i have had 8 grand mal seizures over the last 3 years. they have all occurred in times of great emotional stress. i was actually in a hospital when i had my second one (my grandpa and aunt were killed in a car crash and i was there while they died) and they took me to the ER, and said nothing was discernably wrong with me. they only did one test on my heart though.

anyhow, these things have all occurred recently and don't seem connected, but i was wondering if they might be. i am adopted so i don't have access to family medical history (they don't even know who my dad was, so). just putting out some feelers to see if anyone has heard of any of these things being interrelated before... especially the seizures and bleeding.

thanks.
I have bled post menstruation on and off for the past 6 or 7 years and it has finally become a monthly occurance...like clockwork. Also for me, there is a great deal of time spent on the toilet during these bouts.

I went to my doctor and finally insisted on a colonoscopy. She referred me and the doctor who performed the proceedure said it was only hemorroids that were actually triggered by hormone levels during these periods.

I am looking into the possibilty that Celiac's Disease may play a role.

Good luck.
