That's the line about, not letting things pass through your heart, before first passing through your brain!!! great advise for any man with an anger issue. slow down and gain control of oneself, take a walk! take a break, have a kit kat but chill the hell out is it really worth the affects on yourself and everyone around you to be so angry? think first, easier said than done but at least your looking into what to do about it good luck with the journey ahead:)

HERE IS ANOTHERTHOUGHT YOU MUST HAVE HAD THE FEELING AFTER A WORKOUT, TRAINING, GAME, WHERE YOU FEEL HYPED AND AGGRESSIVE, OR SORE AND AGGRESSIVE. I HAVE AND LOTS OF GUYS I KNOW FEEL THE SAME. YOUR BODY IS CRAVING FOOD ! THE RIGHT FOOD OF COURSE. IN WORKING OUT SPEAK THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED AN INSULIN SPIKE, YOU EAT TO GET THIS, FIRST 20 MINS AFTER CEASE OF ACTIVITY, STUDY IT, TRY IT, HOPE THIS HELPS

Try taking 100 mg of 5htp at night. If you are working out you are probably depleting your adrenals and serotonin. It's not the whey protein, it's an imbalance of certain amino acids. You can read The Mood Cure for more info, but trust me, the 5htp has helped my clients tremendously and it's worth a try if you are feeling imbalanced or can't figure out why you feel and react the way you do. I'm a certified health coach and hold an MPH degree.

This concerns me as I have been dating someone from school. He informed me he was working out with his brother because he got a better workout, and that his brother was providing him with supplements to give him more energy. It's been 3 weeks since we last spoke. He "snapped" twice in the same week. We didn't even argue the day he stopped responding, that was his second time "snapping". Yes, I have tried to communicate with him all to no avail. I've decided to give up since it seems he's serious with his workout, going 3+ hours. Sometimes returning for a second time at the gym, or going hiking. At this point it could probably be anything but his behavior did change once he began the supplements and the excessive workout.

glad for this post, i wanted to find out if the connection i made, between taking multiple aminos and feeling agitation, was just me. maybe excess protein/aminos (protein building blocks) is converted somehow.

Ok so I just started working out and taking BCAAS and whey protein. I am highly sensitive to all supplements but figured these 2 were pretty suttle and all the sudden I started being coming the female version of the Hulk! I went on a 2 day rampage against my husband to the point I felt like physically hurting him. I was finding anything and everything to go off on him about. I couldn't figure out why no matter how calm he was and him saying sorry made me even more mad. I woke up this morning just ready to hit someone. I saw that BCAAS can make you angry also so idk which one is causing this anger but I am gonna stop both of them and stick to normal food haha!

Man, you have written everything I was going to say. The first day of taking whey protein, I found myself after few hours aggressive, and fighting with my girlfriend for everything. The first thing I did is searching online for the link between whey and aggression. I think this is it. I won't stop it, since I have paid 100$ for it, but will count to 10 for everything before responding. May be there are some kinds of whey protein which causes aggression. Mine contains energetic supplement and helps in burning fat next to providing protein. Omg, I felt aggressive, and the same time depressed, I said to my gf, I don't care about anything, even if I have an accident tomorrow and die.

My husband and I have been married for 15 years. I have noticed that when he is taking whey protein and creatine he becomes hostile, aggressive, upset over the littlest things. Anything will set him off. I never made a correlation until we moved and he stopped going to the gym for a few months and wasn't taking any supplements or protein. He was normal. Now he's back to going to the gym and on the whey protein and creatine and I'm almost scared to even have a conversation with him in fear of him getting upset about something. He's even like this toward our 12 year old son. Scary. There is definitely side effects and I've seen this first hand over the years when he is taking it and when he isnt. The difference is huge.

I've tried multiple supplements over the years, on their own and in combination. Only supplement that immidiatly transforms me into a manic is any form of protein, it's horrible. Although there is a solution that works for me, usually, after consuming protine I burry myself in my smart phone for a good 20-30 mins followed by a shower, aggression is down to controllable levels, again followed by a small snack and finally i start felling normal. The key is to refrain from any serious discussions after consuming protein, especially about topics that are sensitive eg: money etc.

I have decided to repalce protein shakes with regular eggs, tired of doing all that sh*t just for a shake, not worth it.

Just had a blowout with my wife. Have had them on and off over the years but now am thinking that every time I have started shakes and gym. Not scientific but I bet there is some form of causation there...

Soy! Are you consuming soy? Milk, protein anything soy? I dealt with major anger issues for many many years. Lead to being constantly angry with my family, kids you name it. Any little thing would set me off. The dog barking, kids crying. I would get so angry I'd want to punch something. Got divorced. Then all the anger faded away. (It wasn't my marriage so bear with me). Last year I began drinking a soy based protein powder. Almost immediately I could feel the anger coming back. My new GF of 7 years would say something and I'd want to freak out. I couldn't believe all the aggression was back! Then it hit me! The soy in the protein powder AND my daughter had dairy issues so we used to drink soy milk all the time. I stopped the protein powder and just as quick as it came, it was all gone again!
