Hi there,
I am 14 weeks postop. Tried to work some yesterday. Had to drive 80 km as a passenger and carry weight of 2.5 kg for 10 minutes.
now I face a setback. I use neurotin 400 mg three times a day. Is there anyone here that had the same problems after trying to do something?
I still am very nauseaus in the morning, have pain in my neck and arms after sleeping. I had a herniation that was impinged in the myelum. It was not causing paralisation, but gave me a lot of pain in my neck and leftarm. The surgeon removed it and told me that I would heal 100% in time.
I feel quit depressed sometimes, especially when I am in pain. Can it be that the nauseau is caused by depression?
Sometimes one can feel so lonely.
Next tuesday I will go to the hospital for another MRI. Also another surgeon ( a dutch one now)
The discectomy was done in Germany by a German NS.
In all these fora nauseau is not very usual after cervical discectomy, so thats why I am thinking of depression.
I can turn my head all directions up and down, left and right. Lift and right are some more diffictult. Neck is stiff from a certain point turning my head to left or right. Maybe my muscles and nerves are causing me all this postop pain.
Can someone who is also facing these kind of symptoms or of cause other people also react?
greetings,
Mart

I can tell you without a doubt that nausea is caused by depression although in your case I wouldn't want to make a guess. Just so you are aware though it is a pretty common issue. Does that help you out? At least a little?
Hi Mart, I can confirm bluedog's post that nausea can be caused by depression and I hope that offers a little insight for you. How are you feeling? Are you doing any better?
Hi Mart, that's funny I am from Germany but I had the surgery here in Florida where I leave , anyway I am nauseated also in the morning and I know its not because I am depressed. I am not depressed I am quit happy because Iam home right know and don't have to work.
How are you feeling right now.
Claudia
