I've been considering Gynecomastia as an acceptable issue that I, as a male teen-age individual, could live with. As far as I know, the disease is simply enlarged breasts in male. Am I wrong? How wrong am I? What effects come with Gynecomastia?
Hi Sigh,
Gynecomastia may be a symptom of other problems. It can indicate hormone problems, kidney or liver problems, testicular tumors, Klinefelter's syndrome (with increased risk of breast cancer - in a male) or exposure to certain drugs.
Many teenagers do develop gynecomastia but it resolves itself in a year or so.
See your doctor to rule these other conditions out. Then you can decide whether to live with it or seek further treatment.
Hope it helps. Good luck.
