Anyone know anything about a medication called suboxone?? I need help getting off of it. I been on it for 5yrs. I'm tired of it controlling my life...

Suboxone is used to treat opiate addiction. Unfortunately, many people then become addicted to suboxone.
Talk to your doctor. Tell him you want off.
You can experience withdrawal symptoms. There are also programs that can help you through this.

Thanks for the advice. I was on methadone for 10yrs then i found out about suboxone from a friend and went to the doctor and got a script for it which is now been 5yrs. I can go back to a doctor and get more but i want off of them. I take one 8mg/2mg strip in the morning so now i'm fixing to take a half of one and taper. I've only got 6 left to do this tapering and its gonna be hard i know you cause i'm a single mother of 2 kids..
