Hi, I am having trouble with my apatite decreasing. I have been very active. I swim 11,000 yards every day and I weight train three days a week. As I understand, an increase in metabolism and apatite occurs during high exercise, but that has not been the case for me. Over the past couple months my apatite has been in decline. I can barely eat half of my caloric needs which add up to a minimum of 4,000 calories a day. I spend hours a day force feeding myself to keep up. I have thrown up before because of this. If I do not eat like this I do lose weight. I have tried many vitamins but none work. My doctor suspects depression is the cause of my problems because I show almost all of the physical symptoms of this mood disorder already. Right now I need some method to increase my apatite or very soon I will have to cut back on my workouts just so I can maintain my weight. should I look into over the counter drugs?

I'm having a very similar problem. 3 months ago I began to gain weight and I had to force feed myself 3000 calories a day, (1500 more than what I need to maintain) and lately I've been struggling to eat over 1000 a day, I feel like throwing up and at a restaurant today, I actually did. I wish there was a magic pill to make me hungry because I feel hungry at times and I work out to muscle failure 5 days a week, and after running, working out, and going for a swim, not feeling hungry at ALL is not very satisfying. Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
