Hello. I'm 20 year old female and I would like to find out more about one thing. This isn’t anything serious but, like I said, I'm interested to find out the exact cause.
You see, I'm not so calm when I sleep at night because I'm moving and twisting all the time. Several times I woke up in the floor beside the bed. Sometimes when I woke up, I can't move my arm, like it is still sleeping. Often I fall asleep I out my hand under my head and this is causing my hand to became numb. After few minutes- it all gets back into normal. Sometimes it is pretty scary. So, I know this isn’t anything serious but, some information would be more then appreciated.

Hello. You are right about this- this isn’t anything serious and you definitely shouldn’t be worry about this because it has happened almost to anyone.
There are two possible scenarios of this condition- the first explanation is simple- sleeping on arm position exerted pressure on the nerves, which squeezed them and, thus, inhibited the messages the nerves carry to the brain and to the rest of the body.
Also, if the pressure is more excessive, sleeping on the arm also squeezed the blood vessels, oxygen normally carried to the nerves by these vessels never made it to its destination. After few minutes numbness we feel disappear, simply because the fibers that control touch are thicker fibers with thicker myelin sheaths and the blood start filling this area again.
