...to calculate pace disappear?
I didn't realize this ever happened until I did my first half-marathon and tried to figure out what my pace was about about mile 10. I was very new to running, and running against the clock. I remember looking at my watch and the mile marker and having NO CLUE what my pace was. I couldn't even come close my head was buzzing so fast.

Never. I was a track coach for 12 years. Calculating pace is now ingrained in my head
Never. I was on the math team in HS, stop laughing, so calcing pace is not a problem.
For me, almost immediately.
Pace?????? I usually just pick a spot and hang on to it..............
