A friend's baby was born with 3 testicals. 2 look normal and the
3rd one hangs above the normal ones.
Will this be a problem?
Will the 3rd one eventually disappear?
No, this will not disappear on it's own.

I assume that you are not mistaking the penis for a testicle.

Also, how do you know that the baby has three testicles? Did the delivering doctor report this? Most testicles do not decend until after the baby is born.

I would think that routine check ups by a doctor or nurse would spot this.

The mother should definitely bring this up to the doctor to make sure that it is adressed.

Also, they will want at least some form of medical history on the baby's father's family... particularly the males, to see if this is a heritary condition, and how it was handled in the past.
