Thy pump your abdomen with carbon dioxide to better reach the gallbladder. The gas can take up to two weeks to disapate an can push on nerves that cause shoulder pain. Ibuprofen can relieve the pain if your pain mess aren't helping.

Hi, I am having the exact same problem you did (word for word). I had my gallbladder removed just over a month ago, and up until about a week ago I was doing better. The soreness and pain from the incisions had pretty much subsided, and I was back to work with no light duty. Last Thursday I started getting back pain just like you mention in your post. Its a deep pain, like what I would think a kidney pain is. It definitely doesn't feel like any kind of muscle pain. I went back to the surgeon who performed the surgery, and he sent me for blood work, ultrasound, and xray. All came back fine. So, the pain is still there and its really getting me worried.

Did you ever figure out what was causing your pain, and/or how to treat it?

Thanks,
Chris

I had my gall bladder removed 13 days ago.  Two days ago I had the onset of what I thought was a UTI but it quickly changed to a lot of pressure and blood in the urine.  Long story short, I passed a kidney stone.  Within hours, all pain/blood was gone.  I've had 4 people ask if it was related to having the gallbladder surgery.  I have no idea but it's possible.

I had the shoulder pain, was told to expect it , it's from the gas they fill your stomach to remove the gallbladder.

Now the other person with kidney pain, I'm totally experiencing that since 2 days after operation and it's been a week since operation. It's getting worse. It throbs and shoots up my right side of back . I've had no fevers or problems with urination or my incision other than PAIN

I agree! I had my gallery bladder removed 5 years ago and started having right flank pain 1 week after having it removed which got progressively worse. I finally went gluten free to see if it would help the chronic right flank pain and it finally went away.

I have been having around the same problems. I had my gallbladder and stones removed a year in 2 months. They have recently been feeling worse, my back aches from time to time, around my groin sometimes burns or hurts. Also when I lay down I can feel like 4 inches from my belly button a circle like lump. This is freaking me out and I'm not sure what to do. I was also wondering if anyone has experienced a side of your belly button swelling (I have 3 incisions on abdomen and one on bellybutton.) I also have not been able to fully turn to my left or right side since the surgery. I also have really severe cramps at least 8 times a week. Please respond if anyone has been feeling the same.

Ft banks for this info. I have this pain too. It keeps me awake all night. Don't get much sleep and am very tired. I had the doctor check the kidney but he said there was no infection via a blood test. Had my gall bladder out two years ago. The pain seems worse after meals. Should I avoid certain foods?
