I'm 25 yrs. old and had laminectomy and disc fusion surgy 3 years ago. They took out my L5-S1 and put a artificial disc in and cleaned up my L5 and S1 from the damage of the herniated disc. That was my last hope as I tried finaly deciding to have it. But, it just got worse. Ever since the surgery it's been worse than it was before I had it!!!. I even can't sit or stand longer than 30 minutes. I also can't bend. So, I went to see two neurosurgeons that are well known across the country and they found nothing was wrong. Anyway, my regular doc accepted it and just suggested to stay on my pain meds. Any suggestions??? What should I do next??
Man, I really feel for you. I too had back surgey – some 10 years - ago and have lived with the pain since. Sometimes pain was so bad that I had a hard time walking. I 'm also on painkillers and the shots do help a little but I know that is not permanent solution and that I will have to live with the pain for the rest of my life. I know how painful it is so hang in there, there is always hope. I too hope that they will in recent time find the way to help guys like we are. Stay strong.
