I have started with bezaprine a week ago because of muscle injury that had. I also have physical therapies along with this medical therapy. It relieves me spasms and helps muscle relaxation. I still feel pain and am not sure if it has analgesic effect. Should I expect from benzaprine to be pain reliever or to take another medication when suffer pain?
Cyclobenzaprine is muscle relaxant and helps in pain relieving. It is prescribed along with physical therapy, as you said. I was on benzaprine 2 years ago when had injury of shoulder cartilage and muscle sprain. My doctor prescribed me flexeril 4 times a day, for 2 weeks. Flexeril relieves from spasm and pressure and that way works as analgesic. It really helped me. You should probably talk to your physician about dose adjustment if you found it ineffective.
