Okay so you take about 30 of the 2mg pills for a 24 hour period. HOW MANY DAYS DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS? Please someone answer as soon as possible.

I have kicked opiates more times than I can count. It's a shitty process no matter what, but I have perfected the way to do it with the least amount of hell. And even if you are banging H, you can be back on your feet in 4-5 days. If it's roxy/oxy popping, 3-4 days. And you don't need benzos so you aren't replacing one addiction with another.
It requires a few pesos, but if you have a habit, you are used to coming up with money.
What you will need most:
1 an oz of sh*t weed, or a quarter/halfie of dank bud.
2 liquids- gatorade, ginger ale, or straight water work fine
3 I prefer to take b6 and potassium. If you can find it, L Tyrosine works great as well. Vitamin Shoppe will have L Tyrosine.
4 4-5 days off. You can do it in 3, you will just be cranky day 4 if you have to be out and about.
5 This is also just complete preference, but I buy a season or two of a show I haven't watched. It really helps to take your mind off of things.
The last day you have your opiates, cook your weed into a butter or oil. I prefer butter as I can make cookies or something tasty with it. Portion it off in doses and keep it in the fridge. IMPORTANT- If you have never made weed butter/cookies, don't over eat when it's time. Always start small and build up.
Start taking your vitamins that last morning. Also, eat a big meal and drink a ton of fluids the last day.
When you go to bed that night, prepare yourself to go to war the next day to kick the habit. It sucks, but you can do it. You are quitting for a reason, and it's time to get back to being you.
Day 1
Wake up, take your vitamins, eat a cookie/toast with butter. Very important note- don't overdo the initial dose. I know you are feeling like sh*t, but it is way better to start small and build than go too far. If you have never eaten too much weed, now is not the time to start. It will be like a bad trip and take you to really dark places. BUT, if you start small, hop in the hot shower/bath, and give it an hour, you will see where you are. If you are still achy, anxious and feeling unwell, eat another half cookie. You will eventually get the dosing right and know what's a good amount for you.
Sit on the couch with a blanket and fluids within your reach, and put on your tv season. Movies also work well.
dose with cookies as needed throughout the day. At night, take some nyquil or phenergan to get to sleep if you are having trouble.
Day 1 is basically shocking your body into a reboot. It's not going to be pleasant, but with the butter, it is definitely manageable. Kinda like having the flu. Without the butter, it's the restless legs, shakes, sweats, upset stomach, anxiety, anxiety, anxiety. The butter really helps.
Day 2
This is your hump day. Repeat what you did during day 1. Today, you will take a walk. It doesn't have to be far, but 10 minutes outside walking will do wonders for your psyche. Dose again as needed, and know that when you wake up for day 3, you will be over the worst.
Day 3
Repeat Day 1 steps. You will find you don't need as much butter to get you feeling ok. You might even have a bit of an appetite. You still won't feel great, but you will feel better than yesterday. You are almost there, and you can finish it. Try and walk a little further than you did yesterday.
Day 4-5
The best course of action is up to you with dosing, exercise, etc. Make sure you walk as much as you can, and try to get out of the house. It doesn't have to be drastic, but anything will help.
Day 6 and beyond
It really helps if you exercise regularly. It restores your body to equilibrium far quicker than if you are idle. Also, replace your habit with a hobby. It sounds corny, but take up reading, cooking, anything to do when you get bored. I have always found that my habit started out of idle time and boredom. Proactively attack it.
I hope this helps. I know it's helped me!

I was told you do the amount you take in a day... So for me I wake up and take a perc 10 in the am. So you would take 10mg of the lopermaide, and i take a 10 perc in afternoon so you take 10mg in afternoon. So whatever you take mg wise thats what yout take in lopermaide.

Hello, very good to see this fairly recent thread - thanks to all who put the info out. I am a long time opiate addict. Started vics, and percs, now for the last five or six years methadone. I get a script of 60 mg. daily each month and generally run out too soon. I just got a new doc who is both a newbie resident and a real b__ch, who does not at all understand pain management and does not want to do it, so we have been butting heads and her antics - coupled with my own - have me out five days early this month. I am currently on day four, tomorrow is five, then the next day I can pick up my methadone.
Let me say I am a real wuss when it comes to kicking. I have done it many times, and a few times it was easy, but generally I am in just agony. My legs kick, I cannot regulate body temp, can't sleep, hurt all over, etc. and psychologically I am a ruin. I had a partner for many years who always seemed stronger than me when we kicked, so it seems we are all different. To me, it also seems like each kick is different. And, it seems to matter a whole lot if it was something you wanted to do (kick) or if circumstances forced it. If you planned it, took time off work, then it seems of course easier than if you still have to do the daily grind. So there's that.
I recently found that ultram (tramadol) helps. In fact, it seemed to get me through almost passably last time I had three or four days to get through. Not this time, though. I mean, I am sure it helped those first two days but I was still just miserable, with drenching sweats (seriously... I was sweating so much from the head that it was bouncing off my eyebrows. And I'm a chick!) and anxiety and sleeplessness and and and....
Then yesterday I tried Imodium for the first time ever. Man, do I ever wish I had known about this sooner. YES, it works. Beautifully.:-) I am really fine, and I am at work. I am the right temp, I can eat today, I slept last night, I am honestly fine. I know it's not time, because the kick just really gets going on day three for methadone withdrawal due to it's long half-life.
I read all the prescribing info first about Imodium (loperimide) and found that it is an opioid as opposed to an opiate, to the nit pickers. Not that my body can tell. I found also that it actually does cross the blood-brain barrier but is kicked right back out again by some chemical or another so for all intents and purposes it does not cross the BBB, although there are combinations one can take which might make this possible. Me, I don't even want to go there. I just don't want to be sick. The third and most useful thing I found is that it has a long half-life: Average is 10.8 hours, max 14.4, This explains why some people can go 24 hours on a dose. I can't even go 24 hours comfortably on a methadone dose, so I need it twice daily.
As far as dose goes, I had a twin pack of 24 caplets each, 2 mg. per caplet, for a total of 48 pills and 96 mg of loperimide hcl. I tried taking 16 pills (32 mg) at first but got no relief so I took another 9 pills for a total of 50 mg. That held me for 12 hours overnight, then I took the 46 mg remaining this morning. That was about 10 hours ago. I am off work in 45 minutes and am headed straight to the drug store for more. I am hoping to find some NOT in blister packs, as it is a pain to pop all those little pills out. I read somewhere that a guy who took the gel caps got a stomach ache, which I can believe with the quantity, so I will not do those.
Do I even want to get my methadone script? I don't know. I mean, it was not in my plan to stop. BUT shouldn't one jump off a train when it slows down, rather than wait until it is rolling fast again? The stuff of another thread somewhere, probably. Time will tell.

That is the best information I have gotten in FOREVER!!! Everything that popped up in my search ingine was like 8 years old and they all said take soboxen...I took subs for 4 months my ass hole dr and I made a deal im only on it for 6 months MAX. well month 4 I was like should I be tapering? And he said he decided to extend it to 2 years....I took any kind of opiate except heroin for 5 years I mean A LOT! So I didn't go back bc I knew in 2 years I would have to deal with miserable withdrawls then that would be way worse. Since new years eve I took 5 lortabs bc I figured way easier getting off them than sub. Its an awful drug I wish I never got on. So im on day 3 feeling like ass and ive eaten a whole box of immodium with no relief. So I will make myself go get what you recommended tomorrow. This is the most helpful thing I've found online so far!! Thank you so much! but I am prescribed to klodapin 1 mg which helps with hot cold sweats and I have such bad anxiety I have to take it just once a day with my Zoloft. Do you think that would be ok to take with it?

Today is day 2 for me and I'm losing my mind between the pain and the restless legs. That's the worst part for me. I cant find any relief that lasts longer than a few minutes. Any suggestions? I've been down this road so many times and never make it past day 3 or 4. I'm trying.......

I was off opiates for 3 weeks until my wisdom teeth got pulled (all 4 by the way) and back on hydro's. I am stopping them tomorrow and taking the lopermide again.
Lopermide is the BEST - hands down trick in the book. The KEY is taking enough of it. For 140mg habit I had previously, I would take 30 total in a day, 10 morning, 10 afternoon and 10 evening. There were some times I didn't feel great but in the 10 day total I took it, there is NOTHING that compares to it. Worst case, take a little amount of tramadol if you have too.
When I read this post originally, I was skeptical but tried it out of desperation and it worked!!!! Took away about 90-95% of the w/d. I also took some benzos while doing it.
Bottom line: IT WORKS

I'd take it until you feel better. May take a little while----everyone is different. I only take it until my script is due again----what I should NOT be doing. But you can eventually kick it. The loperamide is feeding the receptors so it prolongs the recovery process, but it's way better than going cold turkey. I just feel bad for the opiate users going through bad withdrawals right now because they don't know about loperamide. Always drink plenty of water with it too. try to avoid methodone and suboxone since they are addictive. Loperamide has blockers in it and it's very rare to get high from it, unless you take a lot of those 2mg greenies because they eventually cross the BBB. You shoot bullet proof glass enough times you will eventually shatter it. That's not the point and if this stuff becomes abusive it will get pulled off the shelf. If everyone was responsible you could purchase morphine off the shelf as easy buying tylenol.
