My friend asked me if being on birth control and having sex without a condom was considered unprotected sex? I honestly didn't know how to answer.
It depends upon your definition.
If you were in a monogomous relationship where both parties are faithful, then being on birth control might be concidered using protection.
However, if you have an open relationship, or either partner strays, then the lack of a barrier would not be considered "protected", would it.
So, yes, your friend might be right about being protected. It depends on how committed the relationship is.

I call this a catch 22 situation. In a way it is unprotected but in another way it is protected. The pill is protecting her against pregnancy. But going in condomless didn't protect her from STD's or STI's!!!! So in a way both, half and half. I hope this helps her out!!!!! :-D
