Hello, I am 17 and I got the depo shot on May 24th the same day I started my cycle. Well after my period was over it came in June but much differently. I didn’t get cramps like I usually did and the blood was more brown than red and the odor wasn’t fishy but it wasn’t pleasant either. But I have been on a non stop period for 6 months. Sometimes there’s spotting sometimes it’s light bleeding but it’s heavy enough that I have to wear pads every day. I get sharp pains in the sides of my stomach and while most people gain weight from depo I’m losing weight. But the issue is I just wanted to stay safe and in return I have to live with this mess of a birth control. Maybe if i switch to the pills my period will go back to normal. I miss seeing my discharge. Anybody have any solutions ? I don’t feel like a young women anymore and it’s sad that this shot is making me feel that way.
