I had ureteroscopy 4 days ago, little blood in urine still present, yesterday had pain in my kidney, I was thinking " new stone coming out" , after few hours pain stoped, didn't see any stone, so hope to be OK ...Taking antibiotics and Uricare, should start working part time today... Still feel discomfort in my left kidney(the one with the stones)...
it is normal if the stent is in one kidney my fiance had one stent on his right kidney and passed stones on his left
I had the kidney stone removed and the stint put in. It was positively the most horrible thing I have had done. When I woke up from surgery, I had unbelievable pain, due to the bladder spasming. No one seems to care, because this is the norm. I have to admit the stint removal on a scale of one to 10 was about a 4, not bad and relieved the uncomfortable feeling. However, 2 days later, I have back pain . When is this going to end? I have had a hysterectomy and a gall bladder removal. This is positively the worst uncomfortable painful thing I have ever done. Mine was 11 mm, caused by dehydration, I will definitely not have this again.
ended up on this board after researching my symptoms from the ureteroscopy yesterday. just got back from the ER where they catheterized me because the huge amount of blood clots were blocking my urine flow. extremely painful! i guess i wasn't prepared for the clotting aspect; i expected some blood/pink urine and some discomfort but not the clots. i sure hope i don't get blocked again because i do not want to go back to the ER for a catheter. pain after the procedure was pretty bad but they gave me toradol and vicodin which seemed to work. good luck to all going through this! i can't think of anything else to say just try and stay comfortable and hope for it all to pass.

I was told my stone was passible because of it's size. I opted for surgery and my doctor told me that he could not even uses his tools because the tube was too small. I had passed stones on my right side before. Don't wait and cause damage to your kidney.
I feel his pain-i had a 1.8milimeter stone they tired blasting from my right kidney an never touched it-then i go sept 12 an they put 4 holes in my back trying to get a place the doctor could get into to break it-that didn't work either so they put a stent in me an laser Broke it an took out the bigger pieces now its sunday night an the clots are black an blood is all that comes out,i called the Doctor an he said it was normal cause the stone was jagged an hit the kidney as well as where they went through my back-but it makes me light headed hell i wont have no blood left
Sorry to bother you but I have couple of questions
I had laser and a stent put in 6 days ago I passed pieces of the stone I felt better after a couple days started to move around for a couple hours and my blather started hurting really bad and now I am bleeding again with little clots coming out and it hurts worse now then it did at the beginning should I go to the ER
I had 2 stones blasted out one was 7mm. I have a hysterectomy so i dont bleed anymore.. until this stent was put in and its been a week.. its dark and sometimes it slows down. But it hasnt stopped.. should i be worried.

I just had ureteroscopy 5 days ago and I just pulled out my stent. I feel so much better but my urine is still coming out reddish. I think that is normal for a few more days. It might be a dark color because of the Pyridium 200 mg tablets I'm taking 3 times a day.
I had ureteroscopy with lithotripsy 9 days ago because of a 9 mm kidney stone. I just got my stent out today (hallelujah) and I am now passing gravel. Anyone else had this experience? Is that normal?
