i know it's normal to bleed and hemorrhage for the first time having sex. but is it normal the second and third time?
i've been reading up on some possible causes like polyps and things. i have symptoms like irregular periods with heavy bleeding (which i take birth control to help and it does) but i also have spotting in between periods and alot of pain too.

Every woman/girl should make a gynecologist exam after losing their virginities. It is at least how I have been thought. I have been also thought that after we turn eighteen, we should have regular at least once-a-year gynecologist exams, so I would suggest you did that too.
If your hymen hasn’t broke during the first intercourse, it is quite possible that you would bleed for the second or third. However, if the bleeding continues, you may want to have it checked.
Sometimes the bleeding occurs because of dry vaginal walls, if you haven’t been aroused enough before penetration. Sometimes, it could be due to polyps (you didn’t mention your age though) but the bleeding could also be because of your bc pills. That spotting you have between periods is probably because of the pill. These side effects usually last in the first three months of taking the pills and should subside but some women just don’t take hormones that well.
I would suggest you made an appointment for your regular check up and told the gyn everything you wrote here.
