Let me start off by saying this, there is a possibility I have endometriosis, and I go this Friday for a consultation and examination to have a laproscopy- but I have never had this happen before in the four years of symptoms.
I went for my pap about three weeks ago, and she noticed my cervix was inflammed (Cervicitus) and perscribed me Vandazole. I took it the full seven days that I was told to. I am also on NuvaRing and have been for about three years now, but I was three days late on putting a new one in because I ran out of refills before my appointment. There is no chance of pregnancy because I was not having sex for two weeks around this time frame because of bleeding during sex (caused by the cervicitus).
I took the Vandazole, and about a day after taking it, I started bleeding. My period wasn't supposed to come for three weeks- and instead i have been bleeding since then. It varies from very-very light (or none) to heavy. It is always either bright red, dark red, or brown. I haven't been having cramps, but I have been having a lower pain that feels like it could be around the cervix or ovary area. I'm losing my mind- I go in Friday to have a specialist examine me, but I need some type of comfort right now. I'm going on vacation next week for my anniversary, and looks like this strange bleeding might be taking some of the fire from our trip. I'm losing my mind thinking of all of the things that could be wrong with me, and my mind keeps going back to cancer because cervical cancer runs in my family. I don't have any STD's, I have been screened for ALL of them (two times, once about 2 years ago, and once three weeks ago) and have been with the same person who has also been screened for years.
Have you ever had this happen, or know anything about this? Please let me know.
