Leave the piercing thing out, and keep checking the area for infection, if it gets worse see your Doctor, Blood Blisters in the mouth are not something to worry about, they will go away on their own.
Why are you putting piercing in your mouth for goodness sake, if you were meant to have piercing in your mouth God would of made holes for them. Steve

Hi, last night i was out to eat pizza & since i had placed the order on the way, it got little cold when i reached the venue. Hence got it reheated as it was cheese burst wheat base pizza. While i was almost close to finishing the pizza, i felt a little bit bigger than peanut size blister to the right side of my tonge on the lower surface & it was purple or dark red in colour. It was very strange and weird becasue i am getting this blister for the second time & at the same pizza outlet where i got this few months ago. This time the blister was bigger than last, and i popped it out with my nails/finger & blood oozed out & the tongue skin also got torne. I had pain last night & its better today, and hopefully this should go away like last time. What puzzles me is the co-relation between cheese burst pizza & esp. little bit cold pizza & the blisters? any connection to them...:o???

Hi,
Medicated toothpastes, medicated mouth washes, corticosteroids and ulcer gels are also recommended to treat blisters in the mouth. If the blisters do not heal, then it is best to consult the doctor.
There are some common home remedies to heal blisters described below:
- Twice daily chew basil leaves.
- Apply honey on the blisters.
- Mulberry juice can heal painful blisters.

In my experience, the bloody bump in the mouth is caused by sugar or carb-loaded food. I have been getting it from time to time since several years ago.
I have tried various supplements including iron and vitamin B but nothing worked. Then, I had a health check-up that revealed that I am pre-diabetic. When I am on low-carb diet, I do not get any blister, while I do when I eat grain- and/or sugar-loaded food. In my case, it is unrelated to trauma, because I get it even when I am eating very soft food such as swetened yogurt. I do not have any known allergy.
My guess is that sugar is absorbed from the oral mucosa and causes local hyperglycemia that weakens the blood vessel in the mouth.

its probably just a saliva build up which I had! It just got bigger, had it for over a year as i didnt know what it was! It was pretty much in my way! Then the dentist saw it and said theres nothing to worry about! It can't go away on its own, it needs to be surgically removed! Go and see your dentist as they will help you.

I literally had the same thing happen, I was eating tortilla chips and the bump was not there prior to eating the chips and then there was one right after I finished eating them. I popped it, blood came out, it was not painful...just weird.
