I was just after eating a few tortilla chips and then all of a sudden felt a lump on the left side of the inside of my cheek. Looked in the mirror and my first thought was a mole had started to grow rapidly. Its the first time i felt it though so decided to check on here. But its got me worried. I really hope its just a blood blister. I have a wife and daughter so its got me thinking about topping up my Criticall Illness, Health and Life Insurance thats for sure. And Ruffles are not seeing my money from here on in! :-(

I have the same thing but I will bite it and then it will pretty much deflate, or drain out the blood. but the weird thing is that it keeps coming back and I don't know what it is and it has no pain like yours. the bubble or whatever sometimes has a hard thing in it but not always sometimes it's just a blood bubble

this just happened to me! I'm eating Multigrain Tortilia Chips and shortly afterwards a few of them I felt something on the inside of my lower lip and saw a dark red bump; no pain or stinging but it felt a little hard so I pressed down on it and liquid came out!! I'm about to rinse with some salt water.

I have the same thing and was referred to a dermitalogist. Still waiting for approval. In the mean time the pimple is still on my lip and I feel the growth everything my lips touch.

I feel relieved to see your post. Yesterday I was eating tortilla chips and remember it poking somewhere in my mouth but didn't think much about it until later that day I found a blood blister on the inside of my upper lip. I've never had one before and it kind of scares me. I'm going to hope it goes away like you said.

Me too! I woke up this morning perfectly fine and then when I was I was brushing my teeth I felt some wierd lump. So I looked at it and felt it and its purple and gross! I'm freaking out!!!

thank you for this bit of information. I woke up to what looks like a blood blister and never had one. a little smaller than a dime size, but enough to startle me. I wear retainers at night but it's been 20 years of wearing. It feels a little bruised. I gargled with listerine. Maybe with salt water later in the day. I've been taking high dose of bilberry for my glaucoma and that can contribute to blood not clotting so well. I don't have clotting or issues with my health other than old age joints waring out and my eye health.

I had one of these, had to have it surgically removed. It is called a mucocele and basically it is a trauma injury. When you injure a place on top of a saliva gland, which has an opening in it for the saliva to come out, sometimes if it gets damaged it will heal over the opening, so the saliva can't get out. That is what is causing the swelling, the fluid can't get out because the opening has healed over. Unfortunately, they have to be removed surgically, nothing you can do will make it better. Go to an oral surgeon, if you can. Good luck!
