I had GreenLight surgery about one year ago for an enlarged prostate (non cancerous). After several weeks following the surgery (and a few complications) I seemed to be back to normal. Blood had cleared from my urine and I could easily urinate.   I did experience RE , but some ejaculation came back after several months. I started running again about a year after my surgery, and I gave noticed blood in my urine after a hard run. It goes away after about two urinations. I told my urologist, but he didn't seem too concerned. Just said that I have a large prostate and tge bouncing causes this. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue following prostate surgery.

If you are experiencing blood in your urine after running, it is possible that there is some kind of injury or irritation to the urinary tract. This may or may not be related to the GreenLight surgery you had a year ago.

GreenLight surgery, also known as photoselective vaporization of the prostate, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses laser technology to remove excess prostate tissue. The procedure can be effective in treating conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which can cause urinary problems.

However, any surgical procedure carries some risk of complications. In the case of GreenLight surgery, possible complications can include bleeding, infection, and urinary incontinence. In rare cases, the procedure can cause damage to the urinary tract, which could lead to blood in the urine.

It is important to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. Your doctor may want to perform tests, such as a urinalysis or imaging tests, to determine the cause of your symptoms. Depending on the cause, treatment options may include medications, additional procedures, or lifestyle changes.

Hope your bleeding stopped.
