I am planning to go to the gym and to make something positive with my body. I want to live normal, healthy life. I have heard about Body-for-Life Challenge. I have seen some great photos of people before and after on my friend's computer. I want to know is this some kind of competition or some program for bodybuilders? Can I join it?

It is both; the physique transformation competition and 12 week diet and exercise program. It is created by former bodybuilder Bill Phillips. This program is consisted of six meals a day in which there are two or three portions. One is consisted of lean protein rich food, other from unrefined carbohydrate rich food and the third one that is in some of meals consists of vegetables. You can join it and it can have great positive influence on you. I dont know the exact address on the net so you will have to find it on your own, or ask that friend of yours.
