Hi, I was wondering if it is okay for my boyfriend to be hanging out with his really good friend, who is a girl? For example, is it okay for him to take her out to lunch for her birthday as just friends (just them two alone)? Or should he never go alone with another girl?

Hey. I think that it's important you trust your boyfriend and the respect that he has for your relationship. Should you tell him not to hang out with the girl in question he may end up resenting you leading to the breakdown in your relationship. tell him exactly how you feel but don't give him an ultimatum. Communication is needed to have a successful union.

That's a great question. Many times guys don't know that something may be bothering you. Be sure to tell him that it does make you feel weird that he hangs out alone with another girl and if he really cares about you he will be willing to come to some sort of compromise. I'm sure he might feel weird if you were hanging out with another guy by yourself. Just make sure you're totally open and honest with him and let him know how you're feeling.
