Hi Yami,

This is one of the problems with emergency medicine.  Did you tell EVERYONE in the hospital that you have a prior history?  You do. You may not have had any problems but the condition exists.  Make sure it is down in all the notes from admissions on and don't sign the admission form if it isn't there.

Why?  Because for one thing, if it's in writing you're going to "scare" the doctor to not check it out.  They don't like lawsuits from negligence and having severe headaches and fainting spells with a known aneurysm would set you up nicely for malpractice.

Hopefully things change for you regarding insurance.  I'm not sure where you live but health care should be a universal right.

Hope it helps.

In 1967, an aneurysm burst behind the right eyeball. After the angiogram, a clamp was placed on the aorta in my neck. MRIs have been prescribed from time to time but no imaging source would do MRI for fear magnets would interfere with a clamp. Would CT Scan do the same?
