Hello. I'm 25 year old female and I'm not so satisfied with the way look right now and I could even say that I'm pretty desperate about one thing. You see, for almost all my life I was very overweight and didn’t know what to do about it. This was a great threat to my self-confidence and self-esteem. So, about three years ago I have decided to change something. I started with everyday judging and when I loose some pounds I started with gym and diet. Of course, this all made me loose at least 40 pounds and now I wouldn’t go so far and claim that I have problems with being overweight but the biggest problems are my cheeks. They still look round and as I've had my wisdom teeth removed recently. Please, could someone tell me more about possible options for relieving my symptoms!

Hello. I have read some stuff about this and I will gladly help you to understand some facts. You probably think that you are the only one with this problem but the fact is that patients frequently request surgery to thin out the cheeks and change a round shaped face to a more oval appearance. Although many people think that this fat is almost impossible to loose and that they are doomed to have it all their life- buccal fat removal can be easily performed in the office under local anesthesia and can produce dramatic improvement in the cheeks, neck and jaw line. Talk with your doctor about your options. You should also know that after surgery, patients can expect a fair amount of swelling in the cheeks for several days.
