Hello, I was fricking out about having this type of surgery, however I as of this point I have been blessed with a super podiatrist whom has been awesome. He explained me everything in regards to this type of surgery and in addition I had the opportunity to ask other patients in the office who recently had this same type of surgery. They game me a few tips like: ice, ice, ice and rest, rest, rest keeping the leg in a high level position at all times. Today I was able to drive around some and I am feeling great. This coming Saturday will be my 2nd post surgery visit to my Dr. office but I do not know when my stiches will be removed. My next surgery will be on October 2nd since I decided to take care of my right foot first. My advice to everyone is that I had local anesthesia and I was very pleased with the fact that my doctor brought music to the surgery room and that makes things more comfortable, specially for me since this has been my first surgery ever. If you are a woman outhere trying to make this decision, go for it because you will feel better about yourself and be also able to wear cute sandals all around the year!!!! XD
