Hey everyone. So I have bradycardia but I never told you this because I am dealing with it very fine. I never had any bigger problems but I was talking with my friend about this a little bit. So I did some research as well. The truth is that I do some exercises and those exercises are not so hard for me. But I still want to know is there any possibility that bradycardia can cause my very slow heart rate after any exercise?

Do you have any recommendation for me or some experience to share with me?

Tnx a lot!

Hello. Having bradycardia means that your heart beats very, but very slowly. Usually people's heart rate is between 60 and 100 and that is normal, of course while they are resting. But when your heart beats less than 60 times in a minute that is not normal. Actually, it is slower than normal. But don’t worry. Slow heart, just like you told us, can be normal and healthy. I can see that in your case slow heart rate does not cause any problems. It can be a sign that you are being fit because heart of athletes often beets less than 60 times in one minute.

Hey there. My sister is diagnosed with bradycardia and she is living pretty normal with this health issue. So it is a slow rate and I do believe that slow rate of heart can’t cause some serious problems to any person. My sister is fitness addict and her heart beats are always the same – slow. So I don’t have any experience with it but I can tell you what I saw. And according to those things that I saw you shouldn’t be afraid that much. Of course, you need to control it all the time. Everything is going to be ok.

Good luck!

Hello guys.

I am not sure that I can answer positively to this question. As others already told you or as you maybe do know by yourself, bradycardia is slow heart rate. After exercises, I think that your heart should beat a little bit faster, don’t you think so?

My very good friend is diagnosed with bradycardia as well and she loves to run. Whenever she runs her heart beats are up for 10 beats I think, minimum.

I still do believe that this depends from person to person. Anyway, you should always consult your doctor about this, especially if you want to exercise and you have some of the heart issues.

Why does your heart rate go up when you exercise?

My resting blood pressure is 139/74, pulse 60. Immediately after 65 minutes of heavy exercise, it is 114/75 and pulse is 91. I am male, 69 yrs, healthy, and quite fit. Everything I know says it should elevate a lot with such exercise. What's going on?
