Hi, I am 29 years old and I am in a relationship with a girl that has gonorrhea. She is currently undergoing the treatment but we are still eager to have sex. Can gonorrhea be transmitted if I used a condom? I assume that should be the best protection in this situation.
The best protection would be a complete abstinence from sex until she is completely cured. Also, you should go for a medical check up, just in case. As for the condoms, they will help you in preventing the infections but you must know that you will not still be 100% safe. There are still areas that condom cannot cover and that might be infected.
